It’s common for people to think about their own mortality. It’s not shocking, it’s just something people do. We all have the potential to look back on our lives and say, “If I could do it all over again, what would I have done differently?” Many of us might sit back and ask others, “What are you doing with your life?” The answer might be something along the lines of, “I don’t know.” That may put a smile on your face thinking that you are one of the few who are doing things their way. Most of us are doing things that we don’t even understand why we do.
All we know is that it brings us little to no happiness or joy; if anything, it leaves us feeling frustrated and confused. But the truth is, we can do anything we want to do with our lives. We can make decisions based on what we like and what will bring out the best in us.
We can choose to become better people by applying ourselves in new ways or taking up new hobbies; or maybe take up an entirely new career path that will enable us to provide for our family in ways that might seem impossible to others. Whether we like it or not, our lives are in our hands and in our control, so why not live them?
